::Wouldn't recommend going there as a single Traveller. Not much going on. Also there are no mosquitoenets in the dorm which is just slightly cheaper than a private double room. What you save on the accommodation you'll pay back if you eat there or book activities. Food is double as expensive as in the town.

::Que buena onda! Once you arrive, don't want to leave anymore. Such a relaxed Place with Terrace, hammocks, beach and best Sunset View (and monos Living arround the Hostel area. You can see and hear them:) Young and very helpful Family welcomes you with Everything you Need. Good homemade Food (Fish, any meat, Vegetables, Soup, Pasta, etc.), cold Drinks and showers;) Prices for Dorm beds and private Rooms are more than affordable (5-8$) Scooters, Kayaks and more to rent at the hostel. Less than 40 minutes walk to the Entrance of las Cascadas de San Ramon. 10 Minutes walk to a small shop and 15 to few traditional basic Restaurants. Would really recommend it for Backpackers who are searching for good vibes, relaxed travellers and a Basic Place to get lazy in a Good way. Keep in mind: like in a lot of Hostels at ometepe there is no Kitchen or Fridge for self service. But you would not get a lot stuff to cook either at this part of the Island:) Thanks for the good times @ Ometepe.

::+: Hotel located in a very charming village not far from the Maderas volcano. A beach is located below the hotel. For the price (7€), the room is adequate (fan and mosquito net included). Breakfast is included in this price: Coffee + toast or fruit. For this price nothing to complain about. -: Very caring staff until we tell them that we do not want to take a guide to climb the Maderas volcano. No more "Hola" and friendly smiles. We really didn't understand... A hotel is above all a hotel and if it offers extras (guided tours, bike/kayak rental...), we are free to do what we want without that all the staff make us understand that if we don't spend more we are no longer welcome here. Another thing: the manager even went so far as to want us to pay for the key to our room, which was defective and broke while trying to open our door. We found this behavior very distressing! Our stay here had started very well...

::The whole place is just incredible! Beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel, with a short 1 minute trail down to the lake, where you have a beautiful little beach perfect to watch gorgious sunsets.. the rooms are basic but neat and you have everything you need.. The food is really really nice, gourmet-style local dishes prepared with a lot of love.. The owners are so friendly, always there to help you with any questions or arranging activities.. Really worth 5 stars!!
