::First of all, they couldn't even find our reservation, as it was all written on a notebook. The room were extremely dirty, that we only stayed 1 night and moved to another hotel. We rented 4 rooms... There was spiderweb everywhere, the floor was dirty, bathrooms dirty, overall dirty everything. One of the shower curtains had mold, the shower had no pressure, and there were electrical wires sticking out of it. One of the towels provided was dirty and we asked for anther towel and the front desk person told us, "Don't you have towels in your room?" A couple of our sheets were dirty, one bed had a red stain, the other 2 brownish stain. The towels were NOT WHITE, they seemed dirty from all rooms. The breakfast was the only thing that was good.

::Stay away from this hotel! the room AC systems are loud and very noisy, they make the room sound like you are in a hum designed room and you will not get a good night rest. Don't stay here if you want to rest! Beds are noisy too. I asked for a different room because the AC noise didn't let me sleep and Roberto the reception man said he didnt have any more. At 4am the next day, the employees play radio music, i told Roberto about it and he made fun of me! Said we were the only ones at the hotel that night!!! So why didn't he change us rooms?! Poor quality hotel! The only good thing here was breakfast in the AM, and that they are well located in the town center! But dont let this fool you. Look elsewhere if you want to sleep and rest at night.

::This hotel was amazing for our stay in León! The employees were so kind and always made sure we had what we needed. They even allowed us to switch rooms our second night due to an AC issue. Los Balcones is located right in the center of León, walking distance from everywhere you need to be. It even has a view of the Cathedral from up top! If you are looking for small, quaint, and beautiful, this is the place for you!

::My room on the ground floor was great. Never had cable TV in any other hotel during my 3 weeks in Nicaragua. Bed was comfortable. My room was clean at my arrival. They let me check in at 8 am. I have read comments about exposed wires on the shower head. It is common to see this with on demand shower head heaters. Just don't touch them. Hot water is controlled by the volume of water. More volume cooler. Cut it back, and you will see it can scald. The location here is excellent. They have a cooler full of pretty cakes. Seems locals come in for these. The free breakfast is modest but fine.

::We loved our stay at Hotel Los Balcones. The staff were kind, attentive, and helpful. The room was clean and everything comfortable. The breakfast options were fantastic and delicious. We will definitely be back!
