::To be fair scored as 4* but might be 3*. The hostel was OK but there was a misunderstanding in taxi prices (but I suspect it was a little scum) with one guy from the reception. I asked him for the price to bus terminal and he said 50Cr but when we get to the terminal taxi driver started to yell that we need to pay 50Cr each (2 people). When we call the reception he started to say that it what he meant but I asked him a couple of times and he did not make it clear. Not a big deal but was not nice of him. Also very same guy from the reception did not want to ask a cook to live me the breakfast in the fridge (any food) as I was going hiking very early in the morning and come back by lunch time. There was nothing left to me but funny enough the remaining food (beans and rice) was in the fridge. So maybe better eat pancakes for breakfast as they are fresh every day. Again little thing but a bit annoying. Pros (dormitory) - cheap 8$ including breakfast - during my 4night stay there were no more than 4 people in a room (and they have 16 beds) - they clean everyday and keep everything neat - have many fans and even can switch on AC if there are many people in the room (did not happen during my stay) -they seem to be having 24/7 reception what is great -can advise on bus schedules Cons -30 mins walk to bus terminal - looks a bit old (Poco Poco junior looked much better/modern for the same money but there were more people in the room) - they might use yesterday food for traditional breakfast (but you have an option with freshly made pancakes) - receptionist come to the room everyday without knocking to switch on the external light (for the street side) -do not accept cards

::I was suppose to be at Volcano Hostal booked via bus Company but moved here as Volcano was full(Twice). The day clerk is a completely rude so try to limit your interaction with him. The do hand out free towels except with this man for 50C. I don’t think so....room is sweat box located across the street from a school. They do have fans but with only one outlet that is in constant use and always occupied. The male nite attendant is very nice as is the am breakfast. Volcano is 5 USD and much nicer than this place ranging from 10-14 USD depending upon who checks you in.

::Nice hostal. Very clean and quiet. I was the only person in the dorms. Unfortunately since they are slow they don't turn on the AC in the dorm, but since I was the only guest in the dorm i could see why. The free breakfast was either pancakes or typical, and the pancakes were amazing. Fattest pancakes I've ever seen. Currently quite slow, so if you are a solo traveller looking to meet people it might be more difficult, but in return you get the quiet.

::Excellent staff! They were very friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed there a few nights on our backpacking trip and they had a “Happy Honeymoon” sign up for us which was a very nice touch. The location was convienently as well.

::Staff was very friendly. When we arrived we received a warm welcome, nice service (they arranged a volcano tour for us) and gave us all information about the town that we needed. The rooms are very clean, breakfast is very tasty and a lot (we had pan cakes). I would come back to this hostel again.
