  I've stayed at Salty Surf Popoyo twice now and I cannot recommed it enough.The houses are beautiful and fully equipped to make your stay comfortable regardless of your preferences (full vacation or work/vacation hybrid). The location is ideal where you literally wake up in front of the beach but you're also close enough to local communities where you can purchase fresh fish, lobster, shrimp, and even tuna to bring back and cook in the kitchen! Best of all, the place is pet-friendly so you can bring your fury pal along and have a wonderful time. Another benefit of staying at these houses is how you can walk along the coastline and explore neighboring beaches which are just as beaufitul as Popoyo. The whole experience is just a dream! Thank you Etienne/Emeline for being amazing tenants. I can assure you my husband and I will be back ♥

  I spent a month staying in one of the houses at Casa Emmalisa and it was super-excellent! , the house is modern, comfortable and well-appointed and the view from the front deck is stunning. I loved falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves each night and enjoying my coffee by the sea each morning. The hosts live on site and were responsive to my every need while still giving me plenty of space. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and secure here. There are quite a few good places to eat and drink and hang out on and around Playa Santana and, unlike in many places in Central America, I felt totally safe walking to and from my casita alone, even at night. If you don’t have your own transport, definitely stock up on groceries and cash before coming out here, as there are no stores or ATMs within easy walking distance. I had a blast surfing at Beginner Bay nearly every day. It was so convenient being able to rent surfboards right on the beach. I paid in advance for 30 sessions for $180, which I thought was a pretty good deal. I liked that I didn’t have to carry my board and could try out different boards depending on the conditions. Oh, and the WiFi is really good at Casa Emmalisa and they have a generator in case of a power outage. I was able to work and attend meetings on Zoom without any trouble. I would just recommend getting a Tigo SIM card for backup in case the power goes out.

  Excellent place. Clean, spacious and modern. Perfect view from the house and convenient access to the beach.

  Great vacation here! Spacious, calm and fresh house, on the beach with a superb view of the ocean which is just a few meters away, impeccable cleanliness, very good wifi... In short, we loved our stay!!
