  Great place with an amazing view of several breaks. Easy access to many local surf breaks. The beers are cold. Great food. Awesome staff.

  It's a beautiful spot, really large piece of land. Cool bar with nice staff. Great spot to watch the surfers and sunset. The door room is huge and the beds are comfy. The only issue is that they are remodeling, so there were people working in the dorms during the day.

  if you're coming to surf, this is the closest possible place to stay in popoyo. it overlooks the inner/outer reef breaks, and is a short walk from beginners bay, too. so nice to drink a morning coffee and be able to watch the surf!! great room, private with a bathroom and AC for $45. downsides- there isn't a shared kitchen and the restaurant here at the hostel closes at 2pm, so you can't get dinner there, and it is kind of far from any restaurants. it's only a 15 minute walk on the beach (+ a small river crossing, lol) to lots of food options, but this could be annoying to do every night! it's a super social place during the day, full of people from sunrise to sunset. but we were the only ones staying here, so after sunset it was super dead. service was also somewhat poor, and wifi wasn't the best, if this matters to you. the positives of this place definitely outweigh the negatives! would stay here again :) thank you!!!

  Worst customer service I've ever seen. They double booked our room and as we arrived in the evening they just told us we had to find another place. We came back two days later around 3pm because they booked us some bed. We got asked to wait while they're cleaning the sheets... At 7pm I asked to check-on and they told us again they booked our bed to someone else! They lied to us twice, putting us in trouble and didn't even bother suggesting a solution or compromise. Such a shame because the spot is beautiful... Anyway, avoid to sleep there if you don't want any trouble.
