::Good prices and oceanfront! The 2 beachside cabanas are hot during the day, but more private with a view of the water. Staff is excellent!

::The hostal's rooms are poorly equipped and with unsanitary details that do not let you feel comfortable staying in. The outdoor and location of the hostal is great and it has an amazing beach front.

::As far as location, room size, and terrace it was all excellent. However we felt the staff was passive aggressive towards us and made us feel unwelcomed. Ordering a beer or bowl of fruit seemed like an inconvenience for them. We were very quiet guest that didn't ask for anything special and kept to ourselves, but we felt like we did something wrong our entire stay. I'm giving two stars based off the perfect location and proximity to the beach! If we plan to visit Las Penitas again we will probably look for a more hospitable option!

::Location is amazing! Also quiet and lots of space and hammocks to relax and read. Beach was almost empty all the time. Dorms were ok, but please replace the semi see-through curtain at the bathroom with a door or sth more decent.

::Laid back place to grab grub or a beer on the beach. Popular with backpackers. Rooms are basic and cheap and food is alright. Beers are ice cold and they rent surf boards too.
