  Very nice hostel, well located and awesome atmosphere. Would highly recommend it to any traveler out there.

  Clean hostel with comfy beds. Not enough fans in the dorm, but I heard they're getting more soon. The lockers are under the bed and big and pull out into the middle of the room, so you can't put stuff on the sides of the beds in case someone wants to pull their storage locker out to get something. The breakfast is alright. The staff is accommodating and made the gallo pinto without onions for me (though each time there was 1 onion bit but thankfully I noticed it and picked it out). Ants kill themselves inside the pancake syrup, so beware if you want syrup that some dead ants might also pour out. The staff in general are really nice and helpful and someone is at the desk 24/7. I found the girl who speaks English very condescending and rude when I did not know that a delivery fee would be included in the laundry price. I had no other encounter with her my 7 days there (she was there at my check-in & checkout). It was only $2 but the fact that I did not agree to it was what threw me off. I had never paid a delivery fee for laundry in Latin America. I thought they washed the clothes with the machines in the hostel like most places. I try to only get my laundry done where I stay so when there is a problem (and there always is - usually them putting my shrinkable clothes in the dryer, but this time I didn't give any of my shrinkable stuff), I can deal with it in-house. I understand now why the one guy was saying it'd be difficult to get the clothes washed the same day and why the other guy said they had a guy with an electronic scale for the laundry... it's because they have the laundry done elsewhere. I thought he meant some guy was bringing them a new scale. But shame on me for not knowing every detail that's obvious to people who live there. I know now that I have to ask specifically if there's a delivery fee for laundry (I really hate not being able to use laundry machines myself to begin with, I wish latam wasn't drop-off service only 😭). That lady should learn some empathy that not everyone knows what's obvious to her because she deals with it everyday. Maybe one day I will have problem-free experience with a laundry drop off service, or better yet find a self-wash laundromat 😭 The location is less than a 10 minutes walk to the cathedral and 15 minutes walk to Via Via and Bigfoot. Colonia supermarket 2 blocks away. I was attacked by 2 small pet dogs on the street the hostel is on, so beware the locals do not take good care of their dogs. I was minding my own business walking on the sidewalk. The white small one grabbed my foot in its mouth so I instinctively kicked it away and screamed. Two guys at the end of the street were looking at me like I should have let the dog eat my foot. Another time, a black small one shoved itself between railings to get near me, growling and barking. It's paw touched me but thankfully on my pants and no scratch. Otherwise, the area is safe and I didn't run into sleezy men near the hostel, only closer to the center.

  Great central location, lovely common areas (including small library, roof terrace, and plunge pool), lovely relaxing music, peaceful, friendly staff, very clean, will definitely stay again - thanks!

  An absolutely fantastic place! Loved my time here. The people were so friendly, the breakfasts were great and they had lots of tours to book. Perfect! Highly recommended.

  After a gruelling 17 hour coach ride this hostel was perfect. Friendly and welcoming even though it was 11:30pm. This is the best hostel we’ve stayed in because of the lovely staff, quiet and comfortable rooms and tasty breakfast choices. It also has a great central location.
