  We stayed at Laras planet at the end of January. We were two girls solo traveling and doing the jungle tour on Rio San Juan. El Castillo is a small village, off track from most common turist routes but was definitely worth getting there and is a small genuine gem Nicaraguas. Laras planet is an amazing check in/out point from where you can start Tours into the jungle. Laras planet is a wonderful small boutique hotel directly on the San Juan River shores with amazing vaste terrace and one of the best views from the room I have ever stayed in. The morning light and pecefulness were just incredible. The hotel itself is definitly higher standard then the rest in the area, well built and very clean. The host Natascha is incredibly interesting woman, speaking many languages and was very helpful and friendly. . She runs the whole place alone with another local girl, respect for that! I would stay at Laras Planet anytime again and i´m still nostalgic about the view and genuine beauty of this hidden gem. It you have enough time in Nicaragua then try to include El Castillo and Rio San Juan in your Trip. Natascha, thank You for the wonderful stay!

  We stayed at Laras place for 3 nights and it was amazing. The rooms are very spaceous, clean and have warm water. The rooms come with a balcony that has the most amazing view on the beautiful river. Natacha is the sweetest and most helpfull host. We also really can recommand the night tours and day tours to explore the wildlife on the river and in the rainforests in the area !

  Our stay with Natasha at "Laras Planet" was really great. Natasha is a very helpful, accommodating lady and an excellent cook as well. Every meal was so good. The view from the terrace is unique, we can highly recommend staying with her. For reservations I would best contact them directly.

  We were staying at Lara's Planet for 3 nights and couldn't have been more happy with our choice! Natasha (the owner) was very, very kind and helpful with arranging transportation and tours. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, have a nice bathroom and are very clean. From your hammock you'll have a stunning view over the Rio San Juan. We fully enjoyed our stay at Lara's Planet and can warmly recommend it!
