If you are looking for a party place it's the place to be. If we think about cleanliness, sleep and food not really. I stayed there one night and stumbled upon two cockroaches. The music was very loud and until 3h am and since the dorms don't have a complete ceiling, the noise is extremely loud and at the end of the night, it's not surprising to hear very well lovers quarrel. Also, the food is tasty but don't be surprised to find insects cooked with your meal. One night there was way too much time...

The beach of SJDS isn't too great, so we decided to stay up the hill at Casa de Olas which was nice since they had a pool and a good view of the beach, a nice alternative. The hostel was a party hostel with lots of fun guests. Beer was a little more spendy than other spots, but free drinks were given out on multiple occasions throughout the night, which evened it out. We were here in February and the dorms were very hot and the music was loud, but it was still a fun time. Good alternative to Naked Tiger. $15/night was a little pricey for what you got, but would still suggest it for someone looking to drink and chill by the pool all day and escape the busy town of San Juan.

More chilled than neighbours at the naked tiger as guests aren't allowed. Rooms were basic for $16. Decent pool and bar, the food is ok. They put on a good Sunday warmup. $2 for a small can of Toña is a bit steep

Great view. Beds and bunks are very average for the price. $2 beers are a bit much(for Nicaragua), pool should have been cleaner. Nice staff but overall not great value.

Run by Fred and Carla from Australia, They really do care about their patrons and staff. The staff are 10/10, serving unique family style dinners each night and delicious breakfasts. Also able to help organise beach, fishing and sight seeing trips. They also have a free shuttle to and from town every two hours, makes it very convenient to go sightseeing, shopping or grab a meal. Did I mention The best view for sunset in San Juan Del Sur 👌
