  The owner went over the top to create an allergy friendly menu prior to our stay in Nicargua. The staff are amazing and the food is top knotch. The cafe has internet and a fantastic view of the beach. We ate here several times as a large group.

  Best spot to honor a sunset. Yummy breakfast (BACON!!!!) and the strongest wifi you'll find😉 Remember not to take without ceremony; bring some pencils, crayons or books for the kids hanging out in wifi heaven and seed a bit of love! Dog&cat food/med contributions welcomed🙏🏾

  We stumbled in for coffees and had a not just a great cup of coffee but super fresh and tasty smoothies (in these cool mini-glass pitchers with metal straws!), eggs benedict, a delicious classic Nica breakfast, and a freshly baked pretzel bun and freshly baked banana bread!! Everything was amazing! Eat here.

  Rice and beans are fine, but sometimes one craves a familiar and fresh taste from home. I loved popping into Cicada for whatever inspiration they had that day. Rather than look at a menu, I would just ask for "what good" and be surprised by a chicken curry sandwich or an aioli BLT. Their brunches are amazingly delicious and creative concoctions, blending fresh local ingredients in a western-tradition. You must go for brunch if nothing else. Super friendly people felt like old friends from home. Free wifi to boot! At this time, the news in the media about Nicaragua wasn’t good, but my experience has been just the opposite--quiet beaches, friendly people, safe travels. I am so glad I came and found a home away from home in Cicada!
