  We just spent a short family vacation there. Since the reservation to the end of our stay everything was a beautiful experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food prepared by Mrs. Selenia was really good especially if you have been out of Nicaragua and missing those home flavors. Mr. Saul the owner was exceptionally helpful and kind. Mr. Anastasia a great guide to the Canyon. We were blessed with other 2 guides at the Canyon who cared for our family the entire time. An amazing experience! Hope we can come back. Thank you all.

  This is our second time staying at Cabanas Gabriela and we love this place. The owner and people working here are super nice and the food is delicious. The canyon tour is incredible. Rooms are clean and price is great. Highly recommend!!

  My girlfriend and I stayed there for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are basic and clean and the meals are big and very tasty. The owner and the employees are very friendly and communicative. We chose the 4 h tour and had a very competent guide. We booked him directly at Cabañas Gabriela. He was very helpful and patient with us. He show you the spots to do jumps from different heights and he does perform them himself. A bonus here: This guide carries an extra bag for trash and collects all the rubbish he can catch during the tour. During the way trough the Canyon we saw other groups with guides that didn´t had an extra bag for this. If you consider yourself a person that respects environment / nature and doesn´t want to support plastic pollution, this place is the right one to book. We definitely recommend it and would go there again! By the way: The 4 h tour was athletic and you will get wet. You don´t need to know how to swim as you can book a llanta (safe floating device) for not even 3 USD. Please plan to give a little tip to the guide if you liked the tour.

  Great "all inclusive" way to visit Somoto Canyon. All three meals were great, is in a beautiful setting, and walking distance from canyon. Rooms are basic (typical for Nica) but clean. The service is what makes it great. Make you feel like family and do whatever it takes to be a great experience. Owner and his family could not be better. Definetly a great stay.

  A wonderful place to stay. Accommodation in a nice room with balcony and great views, 3 giant delicious meals and a guided tour for 35usd. At night we sat on the balcony and enjoyed the sounds of the forest and watched the fireflies and the stars. The canyon is walking distance away. I highly recommend taking the tube option for 100cords extra. Drifting down the tubes and being assisted by the guide while doing so was amazing. The best was the hospitality...the people are kind, helpful and offer great service and food.
