  As everyone has said the view is very nice. The pool was dirty for our stay. The hill to access the lodge is the real problem. U need a moto or car otherwise that walk is too hard. The taxis charge too much to get there $30-35 USD. Rent a moto for $20/day. I think the lodge should offer moto rental or shuttle pick up from ferry terminal. If you plan to stay only in the lodge it is fine. However, there is only a few dishes to pick from so u can only stay a few days before u need to leave.

  View is beautiful. But very isolated. If you go rent a scooter from the ferry for your whole stay otherwise you feel very trapped. Lots of insects of every kind. Huge spiders, huge toads, lots of mosquitos and bugs. The staff were great, even got a huge spider out of our room without hesitation. Made a delicious margarita! Food was overpriced but decent. We ended up leaving early as there was just too many bugs for me to deal with.

  This Eco-lodge stood out for us for the pool, admittedly we only spent about an hour lounging. The pool itself was ok, the view, spectacular. There is quite a bumpy rough road to get there, however absolutely stunning views and gardens. Well worth it. The lookout from the bar and restaurant area of volcano Conception is stunning. We enjoyed the rooms. We visited in late May and not having AC wasn’t too bad, a fan was provided and you had power through most of the night. We didn’t have any problem with mosquitoes. Again, tranquil and beautiful with good food and service. Recommended for people who can handle some power out and the rough ride. It is called “eco” for a reason!

  The resort is located in the mountains in the middle of the jungle. The views on the concepcion volcano are amazing. Bungalows are spacious with natural shower and compostable toilets - just make sure to note that there is no AC in the rooms and it can get really hot during nights. The hotel also booked us a guide for Maderas volcano ($25 per person) who was really good. While the breakfast was ok, there's not much selection for dinner or lunch. There are great restaurants in the village - that's about 2km walk. WiFi was only working in the lobby. The hotel wanted to charge $35 for a transfer from the port while we got a local driver to do it for $20.

  If you can afford a little more high end accommodation go for it. The staff was terrific and the views were outstanding. So much thought went into the design feel and layout. The swimming pool is a great feature and there just an all around great vibe. It’s somewhat challenging to get up the hill on a motorcycle but you’re rewarded with the views and awesomeness of relaxing on a volcano. Close to Ojo de Agua and a lot of other great spots on the island. Will be back!
