  Very good hostel, you feel like on paradise! Food is good, between 7-11$ Surf is a bit hard for beginners, the staff is lovely! Highly recommend

  The staff was really nice, the area is great and loved the boat tour to get there ! The place is a bit rustic, there are actually bats in the roof of the cabins, but it is expected in Nicaragua (and it’s not the only place actually), I’m glad they let them be instead of trying to get rid of them🥲 they were able to accommodate our vegan diet too. I would just recommend they put bug nets over the bed like many other places in Nicaragua, would be helpful for the bat poo😅

  I had a really relaxed stay at the surfing turtle lodge. It was exactly what I was looking for - a quiet city escape into the beautiful nature. The hostel offers a lot of space to chill but also to gather with other travelers, it’s an adventure to get there and it’s away from the crowd. I especially liked the bonfires in the evening and the good food!

  Surfing Turtle Lodge went above and beyond for us. Our flight was originally scheduled to arrive in Managua at 12:40 am.. we didn’t land until 2:48 am and it took another hour to get through customs. Our driver from the lodge was still there, patiently waiting for us. Both staff and volunteers are incredibly friendly. Vera in reception is wonderful. I highly recommend taking a surfing class with Wilbert. He’ll have you on the board in no time. All of our meals were delicious. Everything is run on solar power and they encourage beach clean ups. Overall a wonderful experience.

  Nice location with a great beach. The hostel was very clean, especially compared to other places we've been to. The people are friendly and hospitable and the food is great. During the weekend in the evening we had a lovely campfire with complementary marshmallows, which was nice. We would recommend.
