::You can buy a bottle for not to much relax drink and enjoy what the country has to offer. My lomo de costillas was nice as well. Great staff!

::Buen Gusto is your typical San Juan restaurant on the beach. Great view and good Latin music. The food quality is lacking. Meat balls in picture was as dry as leather. Both shrimp plates were good, shrimp was cooked perfectly. Sauce was ok, too salty. Like most restaurants in Nicaragua, customer service sucked. They did not pay attention to the customers needs. They can make do much more money if they ask you if you want another beer, refill water, desert? Anything?

::We had two very good cocktails and an amazing view at the beach of San Juan at this place. To be fair, they pulled us in because of the ‘happy hour restaurant-hint’, but it was no happy hour… I would’ve given five stars to this experience if the restaurant would not have added some extra unexpected costs to the bill at the end. They added 10% extra service costs (tip?) and 15% IVA(VAT?) which wasn’t included in the price on the menu. And finally, they had an pretty broad exchange rate, because we found that the price in dollars should be $16.74. But in total it was still $17 for 4 good cocktails (especially the piña colada and the strawberry daiquiri), it’s still an okay price.

::Stopped here on a whim on our way out of town because it looked nice and had good views of the bay. Parking was difficult but once we managed to cram our tiny car between two huge trucks, we got seated quickly and the server was very attentive. The food was beautifully presented, as you can see from the photos. I would have give all five stars if the steak hadn't been cooked to jerky. The langosta was prepared fine and the sauces were excellent. I mopped the plate with the mashed potatoes to get every last drop of sauce. The staff did a pretty good job of keeping the beach vendors away while we were eating but that alone is a full time job in San Juan del sur. The views were terrific from the rancho style seating area. The prices seamed competitive. You really can't ask for much more.
