  When we got to Don Jack’s around 6:30pm, the front gate was closed and the lights were dim. We thought it was closed and were about to walk away. A lady at the counter saw us and pointed to the side gate. Both of us ordered the coconut curry with chicken. Don Jack cooked a slightly different curry for one, with black mustard seeds. They came with huge portion of rice, salad, naan and yoghurt. The lady went out to get us a litre of beer. We enjoyed our meals so much that we brought our friends back another night. He had to turn us away as he can’t serve group more than 5. He doesn’t want people to wait too long. Totally understandable.

  Really great chicken and rice! Great prices (C$100) and all freshly made by the owner who seems to be very conscientious about his cooking. Not able to buy drinks but can bring it from the local corner store

  Just had a great meal here, there's one chap doing everything! He's quite a character. Really hardworking and still made us laugh. He serves enjoyable, wholesome food and at a great price! Good vegetarian options too!

  The food is phenomenal. We ordered a chicken fillet and a coconut chicken curry. The food was made relatively quick, but that is probably because we were the only ones there. He prepares everything by himself, so it may take a little longer. Jack is a very friendly man that speaks multiple languages. When you come in, you won't be greeted by Jack unless you sit down and show interest. Or else he will just let you look around and at the menu without pressuring you to stay. This may seem as unwelcoming because that is normal in other places. Don't be fooled though, the place is amazing and I definitely recommend Jack's. The plates are huge for a very cheap price.

  Go visit Don Jack for a laidback chilled meal cooked by Don Jack. The nachos are delicious and the large plate is huge! Highly recommend and fantastic prices. Don Jack also allowed us to BYO drinks from the mart next door too. It’s the perfect place to chill and take a moment to slow down. Pool table available also if you are keen for a game.
