::This place was our home away from home! My friend and I stayed here for about 2 months while doing an internship in Managua and staying at Casa Lucia was the best part of our time in Nicaragua. Claudio, his mother Margarita, and sister Adrianna made us feel like a part of their family. We learned so much about the country and the culture from them, and we could always count on them when we needed help with anything. We even had the option to live in free housing provided by our internship, but we chose to stay here instead because it made our experience in Nicaragua so much better. The rooms have everything you need for a short or long term stay. The common areas are great to sit and chat with the family, friends, or other guests! Breakfast is delicious and so is the homemade coffee and chocolate! I didn’t drink coffee before I came to Nicaragua and now I can’t go a day without it. Really hope to come back to this place and visit in the future!

::Well not much to say. Booked on the internet. Called for a pickup at airport. It didn't happen. I found out later the driver picked up the wrong person, I don't know if that person stayed or not. So took a taxi there. When we arrived there was a locked gate and a cute little dog that started barking, rang the bell at the gate even taxi driver started yelling benas hello and nothing. So got back in taxi and asked him to take us somewhere else. Ended up in hotel colon, checked out the room and checked in. Later received a call from hotel asking where we were and that the mother was waiting there. The answer was too late. Good thing you pay when you stay so no financial damage. So just FYI don't let your taxi leave until they answer the door or you could be left waiting 30 mins. Or more.

::This is a phenomenal place to stay if you are planning on travelling to Managua for 1 night for 30. I stayed at Casa Lucia for about a month in total, mostly to do research for my dissertation. It was the perfect place for such a long term stay. Claudio and the staff were friendly, extremely helpful, and really make you feel like part of the family. Claudio even took me to various events in Managua and, on weekends, around other parts of the country--way beyond the call of duty! The food was great, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the neighborhood is safe and fun, and the hotel is a great place for a solo traveler to meet interesting people and have fun conversation. Could not recommend this place more highly!

::This is a great bed and breakfast. It's a big house, where a lot of the rooms are converted into guest rooms. The rooms are pretty big, and very comfortable. The hosts are great. It's a family that runs the bed and breakfast, and they're really helpful with helping you find anything. I really liked the location. It's across from a very basic park, and within walking distance of some really nice restaurants.
