::Fantastic place ! We love it, down to minimalist, just the essential.,,,peaceful and quiet, love the horse riding around the property our guide moises did a great job explaining how everything work aroundthe campground. Very knowledgeable guide . Restaurant waiter are super helpful and accommodating to our needs . The only thing is that internet only works on main building.. But not on rooms , neither the cabins ,.

::A beautiful hidden resort in the mountains. Selva Negra, or Black Forest, was founded by German immigrants to Nicaragua pre-1900, and is a family owned operation. Take a walk through the property’s forested area, or catch a glimpse of monkeys in the trees at breakfast. This place is good for families with children or singles, couples or seniors alike. The food here is remarkable, as well as the coffee. There are lodges for sleeping, but it is not uncommon for guests to stay for the day. If you are in the Matagalpa/Jinotega area, this place is worth a stop!

::I didn't spend the night there but I have the chance to try the food. My mom a d my brother chose the Selva Negra burgers and it was worth it. The humbergs were very tasty and the grilled cheese delicious. I ordered the German sausage and I was very dessapointed, the sausage was plain for my taste, same for the cabbage salad and potatoes. If I come back, I will try something else.

::Make yourself a favor and enjoy a night of two here! Bring a sweater and some good shoes to do the trails they offer. Best of you wake up early and have the entire trail for yourself. I was not a huge fan of the food they were serving at the restaurant, but the land is incredible.

::The experience of staying in the bungalows is great, the whole experience is good,..but the food. Food is overpriced, I had a light dinner (soups, sandwich ..) and the bill was huge. I recommend the experience of staying and try at least bring something to eat in the bungalows
