  This looked to be one of the nicer hotels in Estelí. We visited in October, so some of the eco lodges are closed and we decided to stay here. We have lived in Nicaragua 6 years, we are avid travelers and we are not easily upset or flustered. We had 2 connecting rooms and at about 9pm someone started trying all the doorknobs. They tried the doorknobs of both rooms and we heard them proceeding down the hall doing the same to other doors. At 2am I woke up with two men entering the room while we were sleeping. The hotel denies this happened, but never in my life have I experienced waking up to two men entering my room while sleeping and screaming in terror while half naked. I don’t think someone could make this experience up. In the morning we had several men standing outside our window (3rd floor) painting the windowsills and looking in the room. Zero privacy. I brought all of this to the attention of the hotel and they basically said the 2am entry was not possible as the rooms use key cards. So it must have been staff coming in but they refuse to admit it. They said the painters had to be outside our windows all morning as they can’t work in the afternoon due to rain in the afternoons. The hotel was basically empty- I don’t understand why they couldn’t work outside of unoccupied rooms. I felt unsafe after our middle of the night visitors, also the window did not lock and it has a roof right beside it so it is not secure. In the end we received no resolution, we basically were told we imagined everything and they hope we come back soon. Please avoid this hotel. I have never felt so unsafe at a hotel. If the hotel had admitted it was staff and they entered by accident we would have been understanding but being told it did not happen in response is a bit offensive.

  Really nice hotel. Great breakfast. My only problem was the water in the shower didn't stay hot long enough for me to wash my hair and shower. Other than that, it was a good hotel. The location is also good. I would recommend staying here.

  Staff was nice including the doorman who was especially helpful. Room was clean although the safe did not work. There was no coffee at 7:30 this morning. That was kind of a drag. Otherwise decent. For the money I would expect more. Bring your own pillow.

  This hotel is pretty average and basic. The breakfast is good. Be aware that this hotel is connected to a mall. It seemed as though anyone from the mall could enter the hotel by using the elevator

  It's a small and cozy hotel. The only thing I don't really like is the fact the the elevators smell like cigarettes, and it gets worse when they throw parties on the terrace. It's good that it's located next to a mall, the bad thing is that it's almost empty
