  For English speakers, the place is very comfortable, and the price affordable, I stayed there with the family (2 adults, 2 teens and 1 baby) in a room with 3 beds for only $26.00, in another Hotels rate will be $20 for each one. The best feature for this place is that is near the central park of the city, so, almost any attraction, fairs or municipal activities, will be organized near by if you like following the crowd. A taxi raid will also cost you fairly $0.60 /each people in your party to almost any where in the city or you can walk or use public transportation which is very cheap. The room was very clean, got a fan in the ceiling, cable, Wi-Fi, clean bed sheets and towels. Got hot water in the shower, the shower curtain was a little shorter, so some water poured out in the bathroom floor but it was fine, try to not make a mess, just as you were in your house. The place also has a nice restaurant and bar, menu includes grilled beef, pork, fried spicy chicken wings so you can eat to your heart content, not sure if they do have something vegan in the menu, but you may ask. Nothings beats a plate with a hot meal on it and the taste is superb. Cost? Circa $6 each meal. If you prefer to save, you can go to the nearest supermarket (about 2 blocks only) and buy a few goodies there too. The bar has cold beers and a variety of cocktails with an average price for hotels and restaurants. Beer is about $1.25 (Toña or Victoria) and liquors will depend on your choice. A Margarita for my wife was about $3.25. For sports fan, on seasonal soccer games, they got a 40 in led TN in the bar, so you don't miss the game. Staff is very friendly, Rosario the owner may greet you when you come and check in, you may find the cook walking around as well the owner family members, since this is a family owned hotel. The con, every place may have one at least, could be the view, if you look for a place with a room with a view to the city, this won't be you place, since it barely has a second floor and in the first floor windows will view to the rooms hall. For us it was not a big deal, since we didn't choose this hotel to stay in the room all day, but were happy to find this as a place to rest from the daily trip to the city, take a shower and enjoy the beds for a restful sleep.

  Disappointing stay at Hotel Miraflor. The double room was c$550 instead of the c$370 advertised on their website. This seemed fine at the time of check-in, because it was still cheaper than other closeby hotels. I write this review in hopes of the Miraflor fixing and improving their rooms. Upon entering the windowless room, the toilet was not functioning, but I was able to fix it immediately. I took a shower in the evening, but the pressure only allowed for a slow trickle of water. The drain was clogged so the floor slowly fills up with water. In the morning my girlfriend was unable to get any water to flow from the shower, so was unable to shower for the stay. The room was lit with a long fluorescent bulb with the fan underneath that gave a strobe light effect that was slightly unpleasant. The window to the hall was built into the door which would hypothetically allow anyone to reach in and unlock the door. The room became very humid and warm, so adding a ventilation fan would do wonders to improve the room. On a monday night, music with bass was played until midnight and could be heard through the earplugs we were wearing. There were towels in the room, purified water available in the lobby, and the staff was very friendly. The room has a very "incomplete" feeling, and I hope the owners can take the time to finish painting the walls, fix the plumbing, and ventilate the room. Otherwise, for c$550 ($18.50US) I would not recommend a private accommodation.
