  Highly recommend Gabriela's Cabanas if you are visiting the Somoto Canyon. The cabanas were simple but comfortable, tour of the canyons was super fun, food was delicious and filling, and the family is super kind and welcoming. Not to mention that this was such a bargain, 3 meals+tour+room for $35 per person (as of Jan 2023). Also, definitely get the tubes if you are doing the canyon tour! Other things to note: Road to the Cabanas was easy, no need for a 4x4. No need to bring food, meals were big. Recommend water shoes for the canyon tour.

  very nice place to stay and visit the canyon! the grandpa of the family is really dedicated he’s the best guide. he’s the only guide who really cares about the canyon. he collects the rubbish, when others through it… and he guided us with our 4 years old girls safely through the medium tour. the place is very clean and comfortable. meals are good and included. we enjoyed it a lot.

  Really an amazing place giving you a place to stay breakfast lunch and dinner and if you want to you can pay a little more to have a tour guide show you around the canyon an amazing experience and the staff are friendly and attentive to make your stay enjoyable
